Does anyone have experience with creating a trust between a "single-
label" win 2000 domain (Native Mode) and a Windows 2003 domain
(Windows 2003 Mode).

It should work, since trusts dealing with 2000 are NetBIOS based and have
nothing todo with DNS.

However it is unfortunate that your 2000 domain is single label name. Do you
have plans to fix or change it? There are numerous implications, besides DNS
issues and the fact it creates numerous unecessary queries against the
internet Root servers, XP workstations cannot reliably resolve single label
names.

Here's a temp bandaid for it (if you want to call it that and some will
argue it is not, which they are correct) but I wouldn't want to put this on
all my machines in a domain and having to remove it later.
