I now stay in front of problem. I have the task in our firm write
documentation for our software. Till now I write it in Word 2000. Our firm
need this documentation for print and later publish on the web also. As all
now the software has lot of updates. We make also SW costumisation for our
clients. Please what is the best way to keep those documentation? In Word
2000 i fight with incorrect positions of text and images if I fill in some
news in the text. Thank you for any tips and help.

This might not be what you had in mind, and is just optional. Office Online
has a whole Template section, where brochures are available, through links,
and search options. There are brochures that can be used in Word, Publisher,
Excel, and more. It might be a timesaver, too.

In regard to the placement of text and images, be sure to place images to
the front, or back, if possible. This will allow more flexibility in
placement. The default is set to "In line with text", and not recommended.
Try to look through those brochure templates, and see if you can find
something applicable for your documentation.

Someone else might have another option.

Thank you for informations.
