Hi, there.

I recently created a DB in Access to store some member info but instead
of having the reports in Access, we want to create the reports from the
DB directly into Excel Format. Is there a way to do this? I know there
is an Excel Analyzer but the reports are still first created in Access.
Please advise. Thanks for your help.

It would depend on how much of the Access Reporting facility you need to use
how easy it will be. If you only need the Access/Jet data to be accessed
from an Excel spreadsheet for your reporting, you can do that without using
Access reports. Look at MS Query from the Excel side.

You can control Excel using COM automation, from Access, but it will not be
as simple as creating an Access Report. You may be able to do the COM
Automation from Access Report events to take some advantage of Access
reporting features and functions.

On the other hand, have you looked at simply saving the Report as an Excel
spreadsheet?

Hi, Larry.

I tried to save the report as Excel but that option does not exist when
you click on Save As.

Is there another way to go about this?

Thanks for all your help.
