Hi all,
does anyone know if it is possible to create a new toolbar button in
IE6 to access the "Save as..." option in the File menu.
I have tried to customize the toolbar, but can only find the standard
buttons available.
(In most office programs you can create new buttons that replicate the
action of an item in the Menus)

What I am actually trying to achieve is a shortcut to: Save as... --->
Web Page Complete

Any ideas are appreciated

See this site for how IE's toolbar buttons are constructed and behave:

Here's a pretty easy method I haven't seen before:

In microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser, "simonpublic"

You might skip the harmonyhollow site. I had a bit of trouble there
and cannot recommend the site.

Thanks again
I generally try to make the alterations myself (as per the MS methods),
rather than installing software to do it (there's normally a cost
involved and yet another program that you use once and it then sits on
your system for evermore - ha, ha)

Best wishes

What was the trouble? Site now says it's adware-free, and that Addabutton
is now just shareware.
Just curious. If there is trouble, I'll remove it from future postings re
this issue.

Hi Jon

I tried it twice. I had an unsavoury extra window which I failed to
notice the first time and lost web use. I ran System Restore and tried
again. I had another unsavoury window and got out quickly.
I used an up to date XP SP2 machine with only the standard firewall,
eTrust and MSAS.
