Hi,

according to the documentation (Outlook 2003) a contact can be create
from a received email by right-clicking the 'From' field in a
opened/previewed email and selecting the 'Add to contact' item in th
menu appearing.

The problem is, however, that the menu does not contain any 'Add t
contact' item .....

Any suggestions??

Best refards, Ol

Hi,

I first open email by right-clicking the message contained in the
Inbox. Then I position the cursor over the senders name/address
contained in the 'From' field and the right-click once more ....

Only the standard 'Cut', 'Copy', 'Paste', 'Remove', 'Mark all' items,
none of the top 4 email-related items (including the 'Add to contact'
item), are included in the menu then presented to me.

The problem seems to be that OL2003 does not recognize the contents of
the 'From' field as an email address.

LATEST DEVELOPMENT: It seems to have something with how the name of the
sender is presented: If it is 'Tom Jensen', the Add to Contact menu
item is never shown. If it is '(e-mail address removed)', the Add to
Contact MIGHT be presented (along with the other 3 email-related items)
but this is not the case for all emails with sender identity presented
on this form.

Hope this clarifies things, I appreciate your involvment!

Best regards , Ola

Open the message by double clicking on it. That context menu is the one you
get when you R click on an address from the Preview Pane.
