Create MSDOS Boot Disk

I got infected with W32.Novarg.A@mm. I was able to clean
clean and delete all infected files except shimgapi.dll.
Norton antivirus can't delete and I cannot manually
delete - get access denied because windows is using the
file. The only way I can think to get rid of is to boot
in msdos and delete manally.

How do I create a 2000 boot disk? Or do you have another
recommendation on how to delete?

Any help would be appreciated.

If not, boot from the setup disk or (preferably) setup CD and use
recovery console. See

Either run Norton ANtiVirus while in Save Mode, or terminate
explorer.exe via taskmanager and delete the file using another program
than Explorer.

IS there a non-java version of this site? I keep getting errors when I try
to view it.
I don't think so Phil,

the essence of the tip is to get out your w2k cd and change to the
following folder on that cd:
\valueadd\3rdparty\ca_antiv
create a disk with makedisk.bat
and clean that disk from all files except:

autoexec.bat, config.sys, io.sys, msdos.sys, himem.sys
and drvspace.sys (only needed if your fat-drive is compressed)

The result is a bootable w9x floppy.
