I was a long-time user of Outlook Express. My new laptop came with Vista, and
thus with Windows Mail. Nearly everyting works fine, except when I press
Reply or Create Mail.

Then there is a long wait before the screen loads. Can anyone suggest a fix??

[I never had this problem in Outlook Express. It doesn't seem like a big
deal, except when you have 20 or more emails to reply to in a session. Then
it is a real nuisance.]

That work around looks familiar. :)
Open Windows Calendar in Windows Mail, then wait, then close it.

Dear Gary,

I am very grateful to you for providing me with this guidance.
