New to XP Pro so exploring...i right click C Drive and see Create ISO
File...i get CD Recording Wizard...never seen this before.

Have searched on how to use it...can't find anything.

I see Windows CD burning area/Directory/Target/Volume Label/Boot Image.

Is there any info on using this...what you can do with it.

I've played about with it but i keep getting Invalid Image File Name.

Any pointers would be appreciated....Thanks.

Creating an ISO is not a built-in Windows XP function. There is a tool
known as "ISO Recordre Powertoy" that is not put out by Microsoft that is
very useful for this.

An ISO is an image of a CD. You can store and mount images instead of
having actual physical CDs if you use the right tools and have the
desire/need to do so.

The right click "Create ISO" you are seeing is not standard to XP. It must
come from some third party software that either you installed or came with
your computer. The CD Recording Wizard is native to XP and somehow it is
being activated when the third party "Create ISO" is being run. See if you
can determine which third party app you have installed that has entered the
"Create ISO" entry into the right click menu and you might be on the way to
sorting this problem.

I would look in your installed programs and check for any entries that may relate to CD recording, third party software, etc. and remove it. There are many free CD recording programs on download.com to replace it.
Good luck.
