Could you please clarify? Here are the instructions you suggest using:

It says to "Copy the addresses from the address list". What address
list?
The addresses that I am interested in are the ones in the CC list of
the
Outlook email. These are in semi-colon format, BUT, as I said, the
copy
function does not grab the list of email ADDRESSES, even if they are
visually
appearing. It only copies the NAMES. So, how does this work? Is this
a
bug
in Outlook? I can copy a CC list from Outlook Express, and it grabs
both
the
names and the addresses, but when I try to do this in Outlook, it only
grabs
the names.

I do not consider Outlook Help to be reliable.

No, I'm not using those instructions, because I'm trying to get the
list
from
an Outlook email. I've pasted the Outlook Help text below. I am
using
those
instructions. Based on those instructions, there are a number of
places
that
I can copy the adddresses from. Let's say, for instance, I receive
an
email
with a 30 person CC list, and I want to create a distribution list
based
on
that. If I try to just copy the CC list, it gives me a list of
NAMES,
not
a
list of email addresses. SO, instead, I do a Reply to All. At that
point,
the "To" or "CC" box looks is formatted as SOMENAME
<someaddress@somedomain>
; SOMEOTHERNAME <someaddress@someotherdomain> etc, with each
name-address
pair underlined. Looks perfect. So, I copy that, and try to paste
it
as
specified below. It pastes in WITHOUT the email addresses. This
also
happens if I paste it into Word, Notepad, or whatever.
Here are the instructions from Office Outlook Help:
Create a distribution list by copying names from an e-mail message
In the e-mail message you want to copy the names from, select the
names
in
the To or Cc box (To, Cc, and Bcc boxes: A message is sent to the
recipients
in the To box. Recipients in the Cc (carbon copy) and Bcc (blind
carbon
copy)
boxes also get the message; however, the names of the recipients in
the
Bcc
box aren't visible to other recipients.).
On the Edit menu, click Copy.
On the File menu, point to New, and then click Distribution List.
In the Name box, type a name for the distribution list.
Click Select Members.
In the Add to distribution list list, right-click, and then click
Paste
on
the shortcut menu (shortcut menu: A menu that shows a list of
commands
relevant to a particular item. To display a shortcut menu,
right-click
an
item or press SHIFT+F10.).

That method only works if the addresses are in the correct format.

According to the help info, it should be possible to create a
distribution
list from the CC list of an existing email, but copying and
pasting.
However, this doesn't seem to work unless the recipients are
already
in
the
address book. If it doesn't find them, it seems to want me to
add
them
individually. I can even do a "reply to all", which appears to
get
me
a
great recipient list to copy and paste, where each name has both
a
name
plus
an email address, but when I copy it to the clipboard, it omits
the
actual
email addresses, and only grabs the names. Any way around this?
