Hi

May I know how /possible to create bootable USB Flash Disk
with act as primary boot device with OS? (e.g. Win2k / NT4)

regards,
Louis

My first answer will be if the BIOS supports it.

If BIOS cannot be set to search boot-up files from other devices, such as
CD-ROM or USB, it does not work at all.

Yes, the Bios support, and I've try the following Flash
Disk
PQI USB 2.0 plus 128M and I could make it bootable by the
tools come with the driver disk.
However I would like to make it boot as OS not simply just
a Floppy kind.

Here comes a question:
After run fidsk on dos 6.22, however the Flash Disk
disappear after I delete the partition of USB Flash Disk.
I can't "see" any disk unless I recover the partition from
W2K etc.

million thanks

Louis

It would seem that you can use it as a "boot floppy" but not as an
installed OS. IT's still a removable drive and Windows is not set up to
live on a "removable" device.

Yes, I can even clone a 2K & NT4 EMB image to the Flash
Disk and boot, however I got Blue screen in NT4 and NTLDR:
Fatal Error in 2K.
