How can I create an additional -mail contact list under a different name and
retain my current contacts list?

Clarify your post.
State what you mean by "contact list."
State what you mean by "under a different name."
State anything else that might explain what you want to do.

I have a contacts list of my personal e-mail addresses, less than 100. I want
to create a seperate contacts list, by a specific name, of more 1,500 members
of an Association so I can send an e-mail to all members.

Then I would use categories.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, MervNorton asked:

Then I assume you actually mean that you have a Contacts Folder. The term
"contact list" has no meaning in Outlook's context.
Your choices are to create a separate Contacts Folder or use Categories.

versions ov outlook.

It applies equally to all versions.
