Create Access DB Templates

I was asked a question if a person can create Acess db templates, after
looking in access it appears as if you cannot. Is it possible? I am using
Access 2003.

To create a template, you create a form in ms-access.

The idea to create a whole new mdb over and over simply creates a unmanaged
mess, and does not apply to ms-access.

so, a "template" in ms-access is achieved by creating a form. A user will
then use that SAME form over and over to add data.

In word, since each docuemnt is SEPERATE, then of couse a new doucment is
created. In ms-access, data is sorted NOT in 'files', but in what we call a
record.

So, in ms-access, template = form

Thanks

I was trying to help some one else with this and basically told them the
same thing.

Essentially a template (in a way that they meant) is simply an empty db (no
data in it).

He must simply save a blank copy of the db and when he wants to create a new
db from it he must just copy the blank db and start using that one.

Thanks any way

Thanks for asking this question. My follow-up question would be - How do you
create a blank database (template/form) from an existing database? (that can
then be used as a starting point for future databases which use a similar
form)

Create a new blank one..and then import everything from the old one...

there is option to NOT copy the data when you do this......
