Create A Snaking Report

It' been awhile since I've done this. I have two data
fields on my report. I want to snake them down and
across. I've gone to Page Setup (Columns). # of columns =
2, row spacing = 0", col spacing = 0.25, same as detail is
checked, column layout = down, then across. It doesn't
work. What am I missing. I must need to set something.
But what?

assistance. I apologize for the duplication but my last

That should work, unless you're doing this in a subreport.
What do you mean by "It doesn't work"? Are there any other
details of your report that we should know?
