I just bought a usb print spooler (you know, usb on one
side ethernet on the other) so that i can put my printer
away from my computer. Anyway it's an iogear device and
finding no help on their web site.

The installation procedure says that i'm supposed
to 'select a local printer' and then create a new port'
and then 'network print port'. As soon as i do i get an
error 'specified port cannot be added. The request is not
supported.'

Any idea what's going on?

Did you load software for the Network Print Port or do you mean the Standard
TCP/IP Port monitor?

The error you state is a remote or TS session issue. Did you install the SW
on one user account and switched to another?

I took a look on IOGEAR web. I am assuming you have the GPSR01U or GPSU01
