Just wondering if a method is available to filter my Outlook 2003 inbox
messages view to show messages FROM persons NOT on my contacts list/ address
book?

Perhaps just a switch to INVERT the available filter to view messages FROM
my contacts?

Any help would be fantastic!

Thanks,

That's what the Exceptions screen of the Rules Wizard is for. Set no conditions on this rule.

hi - any updates for how to do this in OUTLOOK 2007?

I basically want to automatically highlight, or otherwise idicate when I receive a message from someone not already in my contacts lists (i'm using outlook exchange server), so I can put them in if I need to. It would prevent me 'missing' potential contacts.

so a formatting filter would work or rule to play a sound etc., flag or categorize the message as it arrives. the trouble I have with allocating rules and formatting is that I can't easily select everyone in my contacts list. I have tried manually select everyone (hundreds) but there appears to be a limit of a couple of dozen or so

let me know if this might be possible.

Matt
