Like many others, I have a small freeware app (in my case CutePDF)
that I use to convert MS Office documents, text files, images, etc to
PDF files. The application creates a "PDF Printer" that I can print
to, and when I do I am asked for the filename and location to save it.
All very standard and simple.

What I would like is to be able to right click a file, and select
"send to PDF Printer." This way, I could eliminate the need to open
the document first. Is there a way to set this up?

Or, is there another application I can install on my PC that will
give me this functionality?

Thanks for the help.

Better yet, is there a software that can convert a document
directly to PDF without opening it and sending it to a PDF printer?
Something that does a direct conversion...

Thanks for the help.

How does your CutePDF compare to Adobe? Can Adobe read the PDF files? I'm
thinking of switching, mainly because of Adobe's pesky PDF Toolbar.

As for your right-click, I'm sure there's a way to add a context menu entry.
Unfortunately, I'm not savvy enough to know how.

Add a shortcut to the virtual pronter in your send to folder then it will appear in
Send To menu of files and folders.
Start \ Run \ Type: SendTo to open send to folder.

Good Luck, Ayush.

Ayush,

Tha'ts genius. Simple and no extra software needed. Thanks!

As for CutePDF, I've made hundreds of PDF files from MS Office
documents, and I have NEVER had a problem with them. All other PDF
apps are able to open and edit them. Keep in mind though, that CutePDF
can only Print to PDF - it has no other functionality. So if you want
to add to, or edit the PDF directly, you will need some other
application.

To <*(( ... :
Google for "Foxit Reader" . It's a great and very light on system+hard disk.

Thank you both --
Ayush -- I was asking about printing to PDF -- Do you mean that FoxIt
has that capability? I thought it was only a reader.
And yes, I'm looking for something that would be "light" on my system.
