CRC Error on installing printer

Hi installing a brother hl2030 printer under up-to date xp prof. I get
a CRC error and the driver wont install. tried downloading a new
driver, does not help. any ideas appreciated

Two things to do. First, if CRC correction can be enabled
for downloading files via the internet, then do so. There
may be issues with the connection, more so with dial-up
modems but does not exclude other broadband connections.
The other choice is to get the physical driver file from
Brother, via floppy or cdrom.
