Hi everyone,

I open a new form, insert a combo box and use as a rowsource for the combo
box a linked table ( tables in back-end forms in front-end ). Everything
works fine since i don't use more than 15 columns of the table in the combo
box.

When i inserte the column 16 in the combo box and then close the form
Microsoft Access 2003 ( Win XP Pro SP2 ) asks if i want to save and when i
say YES it gives me a popup ( send report to Microsoft ) saying that
Microsoft Office Access found a problem and needs to be closed. We are sorry
for .... it gives an option to repair the database.

The table that feeds the combo box is empty. Any ideas of what is going on
????

Thanks,

Rubens

Sounds like you have recently installed SP3 for Access 2003.

It has a fault like this, where the combo crashes if it has too many
columns. AFAIK, there's no fix at this stage, other than uninstalling
Office, and reverting to SP2 for Office 2003.

It is fairly unusual to need that many columns in a combo. Are you certain
you cannot live with fewer columns?

The SP3 bugs I am aware of are listed at the top of this page:
