Don't know if this is the right forum to post this on but
I'm sick of my computer crashing all the time - it happens
at least once a day usually more and I want to put a stop
to it without having to format the hard disk and reinstall
windows which would be a major hassle. It can crash at any
time when any program or if nothing is happening so I guess
it must be a background task conflict or something. Any
suggestions?

Computers can crash for a thousand reasons, so unless you can narrow down
the circumstances that are causing the crashes, you're stuck. Wiping your
hard drive and performing a clean install will fix the problem - if the
problem is caused by software. If your problem is hardware, reinstalling
your software won't make a difference.

Any tips on how to narrow down the circumstances that are
causing the crashes? I've had this computer for two years
now and I think it started crashing early on but it's been
getting more and more frequent. Is there any downloadable
software that can check for conflicts in hardware or software?

Thanks
Matt
