My server crashes every other week, and it is only
recoverable by recovering a Ghost image. I think it may
be tied with a bug that manifests itself by corrupting the
hard drive or partition table. The odd thing that I have
noticed is that ocassionaly, when I am in Windows
Explorer, and I click on a folder to see its contents, the
screen goes blank and suddenly I am looking at the
desktop. Yet I did not close Windows explorer. It takes
me by surprise, and I wonder, did I close Explorer by
mistake? But it has happened often enough to realize that
something is closing Explorer on me. I suspect the same
problem that crashes my server and trashes the hard drive
partition where the operating system is on, is causing
this problem. Any ideas how to fix this?

I would run a full diagnostic on your hard disk or disks,
make sure you do not have a virus on your server and on
the Ghost Image. Then if all that comes up clear, run a
stress test on the hardware to see if the memory or any
other component fails under stress.

Can you run your server image on another machine for a
period of time with out it crashing??

If it is an IBM check to see if it is suffering from the
blown caps problem..... (Only on certian motherboards...)
