crashing MMC

Maybe somebody already found some solutions for the following:

- Tv-on-demand only works fine for me if the recording format is the
standard ATI-VCR. Choosing any other format causes MMC to crash after a few
seconds to minutes. Has maybe s'thing to do with conflicting codecs.

- Recordings in MPEG4 PAL are cropped, too small.

- Using the TV, File Player and doing adjustments to the File Player at the
same time causes my PC to reboot/crash.

And I have many many more 'features' where I already found workarounds for.

I've a Hercules AIW 9800se and MMC8.8.

thnx,

I am just putting together a new PC with the Hercules AIW 9800se as display
card. What are some of the workarounds for 'features' that you found?

Nothing wrong with the Hercules, just MMC that sucks.

I do the 'finetuning' in the registry like channel adjustment.
You can find things here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ATI Technologies
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ATI Technologies\MultiMedia\Features\TV
