Crashing after updating Lavasoft adware software

Hi,

I updated ad adware software today with new definitions, then ran the
program. It ran pretty well, and then I did shut down the laptop. Few hours
later, i turned on the system and then entered my password, after then it
starts for about 10 secs, then it displays a window indicating that the
system must shut down due to major error. I posted a message at Lavasoft and
no reply after several hours.

I tried to end Adware application by going to task manager, and even after
turning it off, it still shuts down the system. Need to know if there is a
method to stop adware application from running and to simply uninstall. Also
is hot key to restore to a previous date, hopefully thereby uninstalling the
new definitions that i installed earlier today. I only have about 5 secs, i
know it is not much before teh system shuts down, but hopefully it could be
delayed if it is running a new application (not sure if this is wishful
thinking or not).

Please I need any help I can get, cause i need the laptop for tomorrow
morning at work.

Try booting to safe mode (hit F8 while booting) and uninstall the
application
or perform a system restore

Hi Philo,

I tried that, but could not uninstall in safe mode. So I thought of
restoring to an earlier date, since the problem started after installing new
definitions to the adware application. There also seems to be alot of
complaints tonight at adware's forum just as well. It must be something with
their new definitions that is causing all these problems.

Anyways thank you very much for your advice.
