I have owned a PC with XP Home for some time and
throughout that time, and including a professional re-
load of all software following a virus, my PC continues
to crash for no obvious reason.

HELP !!!!!

Sounds like you still have the virus (or contracted it again.) Did that
"professional reload" include wiping your hard disk clean (formatting and
re-partitioning) and re-loading all your software from scratch? A format of
the hard disk is the only way to rid a computer of a virus after all other
methods have failed.

Yes complete defrag, and reload. The problem has been
occuring both before and after the reload, so I think
thats a red herring.

It seems to happen more when on line and listening to
radio down loads via my cable broadband, but it happens
at other times too.

Could it have something to do with memory being tied up ?
