I Uninstalled IE 7 to IE 6 because with Internet Explorer 7 When I Go To
Websites & Want To CONTACT them I Get an ERROR Message
Error Program Files/MSN/MSNsharedfiles/MailMapI.Dll

Now When I Open Internet Explorer 7 It Crashes & Closes with The Error
Message Box That Always Appears to Report Problem

I think I will Go Back to Internet Explorer 7
But I want to Know What to Do to Fix IE 6 From Crashing?
I did All The Trouble Shooting But It Did NOT RESOLVE the Problem

Can Any ONE HELP

What default Mail Client is selected in Set Program Access and Defaults |
Email ?

Its been 24 Hrs But IE 6 Still Crashes with the REEOR MESSAGE BOX then Closes
on its OWN?
Should I Go Back to IE 7 even Tho I Hear IE 7 Has Problems Like WINDOWS VISTA
I Still Use WINDOWS XP SP 2

Your posts are confusing: Are you running IE6 or IE7 now? (If you're
running IE7, please don't uninstall it yet; if you're running IE6, please
don't reinstall IE7 yet.)

Start | [Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | ] Set Program
Access and Defaults | Email: Is "Windows Live Hotmail" selected here (now)?
Is "Windows Live Mail" [note the difference!!] another option here? If so,
please do NOT select it yet, just answer my question.

According your reply to Vincenzo's post, you're running IE7 now so I'm
crossposting this reply to IE General. Please continue this crosspost in

1. Does this behavior persist if you start IE7 in No Add-ons mode? To start

4. Required reading IMHO before reinstalling IE7:

Sandi's Installation Tips <= FOLLOW THESE TIPS TO THE LETTER!

[And I strongly recommend using
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx as the
installation source, not Automatic/Windows Update.]

Make *certain* that you check in at Windows Update immediately after
reinstalling IE7 to install any critical updates offered. If Optional
Updates category offers Root Certificates update, I recommend installing
it
to take full advantage of IE7's additional security.

Still confused: Are you currently running IE6 or IE7?

Is IE still crashing with an error pointing to %system%\Program
Files\MSN\MSNsharedfiles\MailMAPI.dll when you click on a MailTo link?

I have Been Using IE& when I Connected With My COMCAST Provider.

Your posts are confusing: Are you running IE6 or IE7 now? (If you're
running IE7, please don't uninstall it yet; if you're running IE6,
please
don't reinstall IE7 yet.)

Start | [Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | ] Set
Program
Access and Defaults | Email: Is "Windows Live Hotmail" selected here
(now)?
Is "Windows Live Mail" [note the difference!!] another option here?
If
so,
please do NOT select it yet, just answer my question.
