Crashes when saving to DV-AVI

I have a 15 minute slide show created in MM2 complete with titles, transitions, effects and audio. When I go to save it as a DV-AVI file, after saying it is about 12 percent complete (approximately 10 after starting to save) I get an error message saying that the program must close. I have noticed that the time remaining increases all the while the file is being saved (upwards of 30 minutes) instead of decreasing. I have an HP computer with a Pentium 4 and a very large hard drive. Please advise on how I can get past this and what should be the normal time for my computer to save this size file

Thanks
Pete

Empty recycle bin, run disk clean-up on all drives, open
explorer, find your TEMP folder, clean it out. Defrag the
drive your saving the movie to... Sometime MM2 is picky
about a clean house, Oh yeah, you might try rebooting and
running only MM2.

I was haveing the same problem this week, crused for a
deadline... Did the above and it was smooth sailing.
Anyway, you can try that without harming anything - maybe
some tech savy will come up with a better answer...
