Hi,

my Windows Vista Moviemaker crashed and now the timeline got ruined. I
restarted the program, but the timeline shrunk all together. Photo's, music
and text can't be moved/edited properly anymore.

I also can't publish the movie, I need to verify if the original source
files used are still available, that the publishing location is still
available and that there is enough free disk space. All 3 things checked out.

Reloading the project did not work.

Does anyone know how I can get things back they were before it crashed?

I wish I could be positive but Movie Maker doesn't automatically backup your
project file... and if you were doing it you wouldn't be asking how to get
it back.

My website's Manage Your Files > Projects has more info but nothing to
resolve a corrupt or lost one.

I don't understand it. I did saved my project under the map my
documents/video. But when I click this project file, the timeline is still
distorted/shrunk.

Is it that picture/video/music files can't be moved while the project is
incomplete?

Maybe you're just seeing it as usual... all crunched up to the left on the
timeline..... use the Page-Up and Down keys to zoom into and out of it...
maybe it's all there.

thx a lot for your tip about page up and down. I did not knew this was the
way to zoom in and out for the timeline.

Unfortunately, all photo's with effects are not shown properly anymore. And
all transitions from video to photo are shaky.
Is there anything that can be done about these?

If that's the lates project file, then any issues with it need to be
fixed/redone... sorry!!
