I own a HP windows media center PC with the scaled down
version of XP. Because I couldn't run some programs on
the Media center XP OS, I installed another hard drive
(D and put windows 2000 on it. (Windows media center
version of XP is on drive C I set it up to run XP by
default, which it does just fine. Under the 2000 OS the
computer runs flawlessly. However, at startup, when XP is
tried to run by default, I get an error message which
states that the file "C://win/sys32/config/systemd" cannot
be found, and XP is unable to start up. It seems that
when I installed 2000 onto a separate drive it somehow
altered the contents of the the XP OS. Any ideas of how
to repair this? I have tried removing the new drive, and
finding this file by content search, and it has not solved
the problem.
