Our 2k3 AD crashed and we have no system state backup (sounds like fun
huh?), so I reloaded the entire Windows C: partition, AD and recreated all
the users, im facing however a major issue with permissions/Owner and Home
Folders, obviously all SID's changed and i have to re-create all
permissions, we utilize home folders and folder redirection for about a
thousand users, so if I enter the home folder path for a single user in ADUC
it tells me 'that the folder already exists would you like this user to be
granted full control' I click yes and it works, but if I do this while
selecting multiple users it doesn't work gives me an error that I do not
have create access, the error does obviously not reflect the true problem
because when I do this for new multiple users it works fine, so how do I go
about associating all those home folder back to the user without going to
each and every user, also as far as file ownership, is there a quick way to
change the file owner back to the original user, currently the owner of all
those home folder is the administrator I really don't feel like manually
changing each folder separately
