Hi, I am having some problem to view by thumbnails. Everytime when I try to
use thumbnails, it will give me a message of "windows explorer has encounted
a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I had this
problem before upgrading to XP2 and it prompted to upgrade but I am still
having this problem after the upgrade. I don't have problem when I view by
details. HOwever, my computer crash 60% by chance when I tried to load the
short clip avi files that I made from my camera.

Is this a problem I can fix or I still have to wait for another upgrade in
future?

Thanks

Billy

Do you happen to have Adobe PhotoShop or
Elements installed?

If you do...right click on a .jpg file and choose
Properties. Click the Photoshop Image tab
and uncheck the "Generate Thumbnails" button,
then click OK.

Some suggestions...proceed at your own risk.

In that case you may have a problem
with your video driver. May be worth
a try to search the website of your video
card's mfg. for an updated driver.

Sometimes reducing Graphics Hardware
acceleration will help: (if it helps...it is
a strong indication that you have a problem
with your video driver)

Microsoft Windows XP
1.. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2.. Double-click Display.
3.. Click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
4.. Click the Troubleshooting tab, and then move the Hardware
Acceleration slider until it is one notch to the right of None (the
Basic acceleration setting).
5.. Click OK, and then click Close.
6.. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
(if it doesn't help...you can change it back)

And...you may have a corrupted Windows XP
user account.

I've found that I reached the upper limit on number of files under my 'My
Documents' folder, as I was getting the same thing. I created a C:\My Images
folder and moved my images there. Problem solved.
