I have just some software to check my system. one of the comments it came
back with is "no cpu L2 cache found"
does this mean I have a fault or does it just mean I never had one?
if it is a fault how do I fix it?
I have been experiencing slow performance on my laptop.

Some cpu's have large L2 caches some have very small ones. Seems yours
fits in the latter, or your software isn't keeping up with the latest
cpu's.
The L2 cqche is like the index of a book, the bigger the L2 cache the
more data it can store of where things are on the harddrive. There is
a break over point though, where it takes longer to look in the index
than it does to just find it on its own.

It's possible, though unlikely, that yours does not have any. Most modern
processors do, and if it's disabled it could most definitely cause
performance issues. Check the advanced cpu settings in the system BIOS.
