Hi i just this minute got my xp 2500+ barton.
From looking at it i have noticed that it's hard to explain but all the
2500+ bartons i have seen pictures of on the web have two little silver
rectangular thing either side of the chip. Mine only has one on one end.
Does anybody know about this kinda thing and if so please advise.

It might give you the information you need

To respond to you question. The picture you saw was probab;y from a demo
unit or a test unit or simply a picture that was given to the magazin to be
publish.

It depend where the plant that make the chip (CPU) is located. (America or
Asia)

errr, isnt most AMD chips made in FAB30? (or whatever it's called) german
based innit?
