CPU usage

I have Norton Systemworks Professional 2003. In my system doctor it is telling my that my CPU usage is high. It runs at around 75 to 90% and I have no idea why it is like this now. This problem started about a week ago. I have searched for help in fixing the problem. What I am able to find is either over my head or I am just too computer illiterate to figure it out. Any help will be greatly appreciated

it means you have many tasks running - programs, adware etc
try cleaning up those
