CPU usage upto 100%

I've had "Antispyware" running for about 2 days now and today once at 1pm
and now at 3:10pm my CPU util has gone upto 100% . when I have a look
"antispyware" is doing nothing but it is fluctuating up and down using all
the left over CPU time, which is between 30 and 85%.

The resaon I started looking for a problem is my machine at both these
time became very slow and programs such as IE stopped responding.

Has anyone else had any similar problems.

I have... It eats up the pagefile. windows enlarges the
pagefile... it eats it up again until the system hangs.
What kind of hardware are you running?

I am having a similar problem on a Win2K machine. CPU @
100% all the time. Been running for about 18 hours now and
still not done. It's "Scanning for variable spyware
files..." very ssslllooowwwlllyyy.
