cpu usage remains at 100%

my tasks manager states that i have over 40 processes
running and cpu usage is at 100% this is causing major
delays or preventing the opening of items from my desktop
(ie; norton antivirus, word, etc) what files must remain
checked in the start up tab of msconfig. any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated

Hi James,

I recommend, you scan your hard drives immediately for viruses by using a
good anti-virus program. Also you may want to scan your hard disk for
spyware/ad-ware. One such anti-spyware program is Ad-Aware.
