CPU usage peaks for 20 seconds every 80 seconds

windows 2000 CPU usage peaks for 20 seconds every 80
seconds. The sncntr.exe is responsible I think. Other than
that I have no idea at this point in time. Help required.

Probably spyware. Get Spybot, and send the guy who made it some $$$.
