CPU upgrade

I have an Intel 865PERL mobo and want to upgrade my P4 2.0A chip to
something higher. I was told this board would support up to a 3.0 chip but I
cannot seem to find any documentation for this anywhere. Any Intel experts
here?

Also, if I change the cpu will it have any effect on the windows
installation such as drivers or conflicts? Thanks.

It looks like you'll need to check your board revision to be sure what
processor's it supports

Only changing the processor probably won't cause any windows problems I
think
