I recently upgraded to a soyo dragon kt333 plus mobo and
a athlon xp 2600 processor. After installation of the
hardware my system did not load windows propperly, so I
installed another copy of XP on the computer. After
booting to windows with 2 copies of xp on my hard drive,
I moved everything I could off my old windows
installation (desktop icons, favorites list, etc) and
then deleted the old windows tree. I rebooted the
computer and upon coming to windows again, I noticed a
drop in performance. The system tool of controll pannel
said that my processor was only clocked at 1.06 GHZ
instaed of the 2.08 I had previously. I have downloaded
all the windows updates hoping that would fix it, but so
far it has made no difference. Anyone that can provide
some help, it would be greatly appreciated.
