hi. does anyone have a recommendation for a solid reliable cpu fan ? i am
not trying to save a few bucks, but on the other hand i don't want some
super-new untested technology for people who are doing 2x overclocking, or
something like that.

i have an asus a7m266 motherboard.

The CPU fan is simple, the differences are mostly in the
type of bearing.

.

I would recommend the Quiet Fan, it is around 6 dollars,
looks nice and cools great!

Be aware that AMD has changed their warranty also.

AMD will not honor the warranty on any CPU that does not use the AMD
supplied Fan and heatsink

So if you want to make sure that your AMD CPU stays under warranty,
use the supplied Fan/Heatsink that comes with it.
