My CPU Core Temperature is about 50 to 60 degrees Celsius when I'm working
in Windows XP and I want to know if that's normal? I am using an AMD Athlon
2800XP and my fan is up full, going at 5200RPM.

Regards,

That sound a little high for a 5200 RPM fan, though you
might have a poor heatsink, poor case airflow, or high
ambient (room) temp. Then again some motherboards report
temp higher than it actually is. So long as the other
components in the system aren't overheating then primary
consideration is if it's stable... if so, there is no reason
to change anything.

Regards,

I have the same CPU as you and my motherboard (Gigabyte) has a
monitoring utility. It shows the current temp as 40c and the
threshold at which it raises a warning as 60c.
