I for one would love to see the option to specify the max amount of CPU utilization that can be used by the program. This way a scheduled scan can be done without much interuption to the user. I scheduled a background scan and my sytem was maxed out while scanning (expected), but to be able to install on systems and control the CPU utilization may help, but of course will make the scan take longer.

Daniel - I can do a scan without too serious an impact--high disk usage, but
not high CPU, as I recall. OTOH, my antivirus (a trial of Fprot) definitely
causes high CPU usage during a scan. It may be worth experimenting to see
whether, for example, disabling real-time protection in your antivirus makes
a difference in the CPU usage you observe during an Antispyware scan. If it
does, details and version numbers would be good things to report.

Does setting its priority to lower than normal in task
manager help? (I've never tried that, but I guess that's
what it is for :-)).

It should help, but as I recall that's awkward to do--you can do it in task
manager, or you can create scripts to do it, but it isn't real simple to
manage.
