Hi

I have an xp 2400+ 266FSB and ddr 2700 512 ram 333mhz

I've heard that it is best to match the cpu's fsb to the
rams speed so they can work better together.

So I have brought my ram speed down to 266mhz.

Is this the right thing to do?

Cheers

333 will slow itself down to 266 if you have a 266
fsb,Dell normally installs 333 in 266FSB,And tells the
buyer,it will run at 266 Hummmmmm 333 run at 266,266 run
at 266 hummmmmm 266 is 266 hummmmmmm,ain't broke don't
fix it.
