My computer was running very slow & just doing all kinds
of strage stuff, after exploring many things, I came
accross the CPU usage was at 100% all the time, the
realsched.exe was using 99% of that. I deleted it off the
Windows Task Manager screen and that greatly speeds things
up. It comes back everytime I shut down & restart my
computer. After searching on my own I came across some
other people who have experienced this same problem and
there wasn't really a solution they could find either, the
one said Microsoft was looking into it. Can't keep
waisting all my time searching here and there so thought I
would go right to the scource. Hope you can help

Realsched.exe is an application scheduler that is part of Real Player. If
you look at the EULA you agreed to when you installed Real Player, you'll
find this (or something very close to it):

[Realsched.exe] is used to remind AutoUpdate and Message Center to perform
their tasks at pre-scheduled intervals. The Scheduler is also used to
automatically launch RealNetworks' Media Type Helper. The Media Type Helper
ensures the system is configured for correct operation of the RealOne Player
with Multi-Purpose Internet Mail Extensions ("MIME") types, file extensions,
Internet protocols and other media types. If a media type has been assigned
a different action by a different application, Media Type Helper may
override the association and substitute its own association.

You can configure these behaviors in Real Player, or you can uninstall Real
Player.
