Hi all,

I am using Access 2003 and I am trying to put in a running count on my
report. I have a report which shows me a list of assets and projected dates
on when they need to be replaced. For example, I may have 3 assets to be
replaced on 7/2008 and 5 assets to be replaced on 8/2008. I would like to see
the actual number on my report (which shows my detailed records) reflect a
"3" and a "5". I tried putting a group header and doing a running count this
way but it did not work. I know that in Excel I can do something like a count
if but I am having trouble with this. I would appreciate any help on this. I
am not so familiar with code so any "code free" way around this or a REALLY
idiot proof code example would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You mention "running count" but it seems that you only want basic counts. You
can add text boxes to almost any report section with a control source of
=Count(*)
to count all the records in a section.

Hi Duane,

Thanks. This worked. I think I was making what I wanted to do too
complicated.

I appreciate your help!
