In PP XP, is there a way of doing a word count of the notes? The only way
I've discovered is the clumsy one of sending it to Word, selecting all the
notes and doing a word count on that. Is there something better?

Greetings....

I used to play in this sandbox until a couple of years ago, then left to
seek fortune and fame.

Oh well...I'm back! I look forward to playing nice with you all again.

Why the "attention" notice?... well, I just returned for the first ever
PowerPoint Live conference and must tell you it was a BLAST! Your MVPs are
the gods and goddesses you imagine. I want to alert you now to block your
calendars for October 10 - 13, 2004 for a most wonderful time in San Diego,
CA. For a taste of this event, go to http://www.altman.com/pptlive/ .

I invite folks who attended to share their thoughts on the 2003 experience.
I will do likewise once I recover.

Regards,
Bob Ostwald

Not really. We just begin to look less toadlike after many kamikazes.

Folks, you wanna be REAL careful if you land next to Mr. Ostwald in the bar
and he starts you on kamizazes. The divine wind blows, the room spins,
things no longer seem so sharp ...

It's WAY late and I'm away again in the AM but wanted to drop by for a few
seconds.
And to second what Bob says. It was great, and we sure hope to see more of
ya next year.

Welcome back Bob.....it's about time you got back to work in the sandbox
here, there are a lot of sandcastles yet to be built! We've missed you...

The 'famous' Jan.. ;-)))))

Counting words in PPT and in Word can give different results as (for
example) hyphenated words are treated differently. I've posted here to see
if anyone knows the rules or can explain further, but had no replies. So
presumably it is a mystery.

After your long-time association with Brian, I thought you could handle it.
Oh well, even gods are flawed...witness Achilles.

Hi, PM.

What Martin says -- it's rather a mystery how the word counts work, as
you get different results in PPT and in Word. I think the way you're
doing it is the workaround o' choice. I agree it's clumsy, though.
Sorry.

LOL! It was great to meet you, Bob, and it's wonderful to see you back
in the newsgroups.
