Hi,

I am using COUNTIF formula and it is miscounting by 1
Example: =COUNTIF(O1:O275,"E6400-2.4-A")

CountIf result: 4
There are actually 5 "E6400-2.4-A" in the O column... Any ideas ?

My guess would be that you actually have a "E6400-2.4-A " in your data, or
something similar.

Works ok for me when i input the formula in O276. Check the entire range.
Are you nsure you haven't got an entry outside the specified range. Sure you
will have checked but you never know!

One of them might include spaces. Use:

=LEN(cell)

in a blank column, where cell is the cell reference of the cell that
you think contains "E6400-2.4-A", and if it does not return 11 then
you have extra characters in there. Repeat for the other 4 cells.

Hope this helps.

Pete

Hi,

You 'might' get away with this depending on your data

=COUNTIF(O1:O275,"*E6400-2.4-A*")
