I want to find all the values in a table that are between
500,000 and 1,000,000.

I used the countif function for the range with the
criteria (>=500,000 and <1,000,000) but it keeps returning
a count of 0 and I know there are numbers in the range
that fall between 500,000 and 1,000,000.

What am I doing wrong?

Bridget, here is one way
=COUNTIF(A1:A20,">49999")-COUNTIF(A1:A20,">1000000")
