counter problem

I am using a counter on my report, but the report will only print the first
36 items - there are 54 in all. I cannot seem to make it print the whole
report. Anybody know how to fix this?

What does "print the whole report" have to do with "using a counter"? Do you
have code that references a "counter"?

Does your report's record source contain 54 records?
Does your report have a filter?

In actuality, the report is 2 pages, but it stops printing after "counter"
number 36. I can see 2 pages on the print preview, but the second page is
totally lost. No filters, just a basic report with 3 fields from a query
(last name, first name and counter).

Again, "Does your report's record source contain 54 records?"
What do you mean by "the second page is totally lost"?
What are you using for a counter? Do you have a text box set up as a counter
value? Is the "counter" in the detail section?

Yes, my report has 54 records. The second page is lost when I tell the
report to print - it only prints the first page and that's it. I can see the
other 18 records, on the screen, but for some reason the next page won't
print and there appears to be no options to choose from to make it print. If
you look at the bottom of the report, it says there is only one page. But
only 36 records fit on one page, so where are the other records?
I am using a text box as a counter. It is set at =1 to count each record
separately in a report (running sum over group). Yes, the counter is in the
detail section and shows up on the screen and on the report.

Did you flip over your printed paper to see if the pages are printed back to
back? Does your printer support back-to-back? Have you tried a different
printer? What happens if you try send the results to Excel or Word?

No, I did not flip the paper over, but I have a printer with 50 sheets in it,
so I figured if there was a 2nd page, it would just pull another sheet from
the feeder and print on that - it did not do that.

If I put all of that info from the report into word, it prints both pages
just fine, so that's what I've done for the time being. I was really hoping
there was a real answer for Access to do it right without all the exporting.

I expect your issue is your printer driver.
What happens if you send the report directly to the printer without first
previewing it?

It does the same thing - only prints one page, stops at record number 36. I
can try another printer and see if it works. The funny thing is, if I take
the counter option off of the report, it prints both pages with no problem!
Are you sure that sounds like a print driver problem??

I have never heard of an issue like this. If changing printers doesn't work,
consider creating a new report.
