Hi!!
I am trying to find a formula to use to count how many times a consecutive data figure appears to try and see if I can establish a trend within the data. My data looks like this:
As you can see 2000 is there for 2012, 2013 and 2014 so my expected result would be 3. I also do not want to count any blank cells as part of this formula is they are irrelevant in the data. I have about 700 rows of information like this and it would be much easier to have a formula for this trend.
In the below data there are no consecutive numbers (even though 1000 is there twice, it didn't occur 2 years in a row), so I would expect the result to be 0.
Are you able to help me at all please?
Thanks
Tania
