I have created a survey using Access XP. Now I need to
tabulate the results. I have 7 questions with each
question having 5 or 6 answers. I want to count how many
users answered what to each question... like on question
2 how many chose answer number 3. I have tried to modify
the query, and also on the actual report, but I cannot
get the Count function to give me a count of each answer.
Every time I try to include the criteria =2 or =3, etc. I
get a syntax error. Where can I look for help on this
one? Even looked in the SQL books I have here.
TIA

It is very difficult to answer a question like this when we don't know your
table structure. Normalized tables would have one record per answer to a
question. There is a sample "At Your Survey" at
http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/OtherLibraries.asp#Hookom,Duane that has
a complete survey ready-to-run. It might help if you reviewed how this
application handles records. There is a report in the sample that counts
results.
