My report shows just the total number of records found by
a query. I use =Count([queryname]) to get this. The count
display just fine but this also display all the records
found. I changed Hide Duplicates to Yes and now I don't
see all the records but I do see all the space where the
records would have been. 100 records don't appear bu 4
pages of blank space does. How do I eliminate all the
blank space?

Put the Count control in a header or footer section and set the Detail
section's Visible property to No.

This leaves me with a header and footer but no count of
the records. What might I be doing wrong? I've tried
moving it to Page footer and report footer.

This works - forget my other post - all I had to do was
pay attention to what you wrote. Thank you.
